Faith for Miracles (Part 2)

Every living human being has faith in something or in somebody. However, the believer in the Lord should have has faith only in Jesus Christ. Over the years, the word "faith" has had several acrostics to it...

Our Lord Jesus Christ gave the greatest applaud to the visible, tangible faith expressed by the Roman Centurion. What you need to know is that this Centurion was not a Jew by any means. He was not even a convert to the cause of Christ at the time. The word "applaud" means to commend highly, praise, to express approval, etc. It therefore means faith is visible particularly when someone demonstrates it. Faith is active and commendable by God when He sees it. Is your faith commendable?

In Matthew 8:5-13 the Centurion came to Jesus and requested that his servant who was deadly sick be healed. Jesus said to him "I will come and heal him." The response to Jesus' willingness to heal the sick and the afflicted brought out the true character of the Centurion's faith. For the first time Jesus could see in a stranger the God kind of faith. The end of the Centurion's faith for the healing of his servant came when Jesus said "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let be done to you."

Jesus is always looking for faith in the life of His followers. If a stranger who was not under the Covenant that Jesus established with His blood received a miracle of healing for his servant, how much more you who is redeemed? Remember the Centurion said to Jesus "Speak the Word only." Have you gotten to that level of faith wherein you just launch out based on the Word of God. We all need to come the place where the Word of is a Rhema (living). Miracles will be a daily experience where faith is exercised.

A woman with the issue of blood for twelve years demonstrated her faith in the Lord Jesus. When the crowd pressed on heavily on Jesus, she was very determined to get healed from the embarrassing flow of blood from her body for twelve years. When she took the step of faith to touch the hem of Jesus' garment, her miracle came speedily. Even though she trembled on the process her audacious faith in Jesus was applauded. Faith works whenever and wherever it is applied.

The first encounter I had with healing was 27 years ago. I was very sick of fever and I was a young believer—six months in the faith. My faith was in the Word of God from Isaiah 53:5 "...by whose stripes you are healed." this was my first encounter with sickness since becoming a born again believer. The Lord healed me that night. By the time I woke the next morning I had forgotten that I was very sick the previous day. Since that experience my faith in God to heal the sick increased. God honors faith wherever it is found. The Christian life is a journey of faith. The Bible says that whatever is not of faith is sin. I believe that God is ever ready to bless the person who walks by faith and not by sight. May the Lord always find faith in you. May He trust you like He did Job. May He testify to your faith in Him.
